Data Storage and Sharing Update

No more external hard drives! With our new Viscenter Storage System, microCT users can now download their data through an individual password protected account via the internet. Many thanks to ATG for their assistance in setting up the new system!

The Visualization Center also encourages data sharing and uses Morphosource as a depository. Our page can be found here.

New Look for the Visualization Center

The Visualization Center now has an official logo! Decals displaying our new logo were installed on the wall inside and outside of the center this Friday.

Visual Arts in Medicine Exhibition

February 18th, 2020

NYITCOM's multi-day exhibition displayed student, faculty, and staff creations (drawings, paintings, and sculptures) inspired by medicine. For the event, the Visualization Center contributed 3D prints of various biological structures. All prints were derived from microCT data originating from the center.

NYITCOM & NYITSHP Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest 2019

Kelsi Hurdle, Meredith Taylor, and Dr. Julia Molnar (pictured bottom left to right) participated in the annual pumpkin carving contest on behalf of the visualization center and anatomy department! Their carvings were a big hit (no bones about it ;)) See their entry below (right).

NERVES (Northeastern Regional Vertebrate Evolution Symposium) is an annual meeting of biologists and paleobiologists from the greater New York City area concerned with the evolution of vertebrates. This year, the meeting was held at NYIT . For a list of presentation topics, click here.
